Review Policy

How reviews work here: only certificate holders can leave one, one per certificate, with no incentives. Every review is published, whatever the rating it gives.

Who can leave a review

Only people who hold one of our certificates can leave a review, and only for the course that certificate is for. The review form is on your private order page, so every review comes from someone who has taken the course and passed.

You can leave one review per certificate.

No incentives

We never pay for reviews or offer discounts, refunds, gifts or anything else in return for one. We do not ask for positive reviews, we do not write reviews ourselves, and we do not ask anyone else to write them for us.

Every review is published

Reviews are published whatever the rating, and we do not edit what you write. Reviews and ratings for a course appear on the site once there are at least 3 of them, so that a summary is not based on one or two opinions.

Any star rating we show is worked out from all the published reviews it covers. We never set or adjust a rating by hand.

The order reviews appear in

Reviews are shown most recent first. We do not pin, promote or hide reviews because of what they say.

When we remove a review

We only remove a review if it is:

  • Unlawful, for example defamatory
  • Abusive, for example threatening or hateful
  • Revealing personal data, for example someone else's name or contact details

We also withdraw a review if its order is refunded or its payment is reversed, because the review no longer rests on a valid certificate.

We do not remove a review because it is negative. A removed review no longer counts towards any rating. We will also remove your review if you ask us to.

How to report a problem

If you think a review breaks these rules, or you think it may be fake, tell us through our contact page or by email at support@foodhygienehub.co.uk. Please say which course it is on and what the problem is. We will look into every report.

Why we do this

Fake reviews are banned under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. This policy explains the steps we take, in line with guidance from the Competition and Markets Authority, so that you can trust the reviews you read here.
