Refund and Cancellation Policy

When you can cancel

On single courses, studying and sitting the assessment are free. You only pay if you pass and choose to buy your certificate, so there is nothing to cancel before that.

Consumers normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once supply has started, if you asked for immediate supply and agreed that you would lose the right. We ask for this consent at checkout.

• Single course: your certificate is issued as soon as your payment is confirmed, so the right to cancel ends at that point.
• Bundle with no certificate issued yet: you can cancel within 14 days of your order for a full refund.
• Bundle with at least one certificate issued: the right to cancel ended when the first certificate was issued.

After a certificate is issued

Once a certificate has been issued, you cannot cancel because you have changed your mind. Your rights if something is faulty are not affected.

If something is faulty

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Examples of a fault are a certificate file that will not open, or an error of ours in your certificate. If something is faulty, you can ask us to:

• Repair or replace it, free of charge and within a reasonable time
• Reduce the price, which can be as much as a full refund, if we cannot repair or replace it, or do not do so within a reasonable time
• Put right, or pay compensation for, any damage it causes to your device or other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill

How to ask

Contact us through our contact page or by email at support@foodhygienehub.co.uk. Please give your order reference and the email address you used, and tell us clearly what you would like us to do. You do not need to use a particular form, and you do not need to give a reason for cancelling.

When you will be refunded

We will refund you within 14 days of the day you tell us you are cancelling, or of the day we agree that a refund is due. We use the same payment method you paid with, and there is no fee. Your bank may take a few more days to show the money in your account.

A refund revokes the certificate

A full refund revokes the certificates on that order. Each one then shows as revoked when anyone verifies it, and it must no longer be used. You may need to pass the assessment and buy a certificate again if you need one later.
